Parsing user submitted css and javascript to change style sheets in html

I’m working on a project where my users can input css into a file that we then execute. The problem is the users also like to add javascript to the page which I’m having trouble parsing to actually execute. How would I go about checking whether or not the input was css or javascript and executing or not the javascript? I’m stumped, has anyone dealt with this before?

You might want to look at the online CSS validator,
It may be a little over the top for your needs, but it might be of some help.
